On the 7th May,2026, the National Youth Authority under the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly, in collaboration with partner NGOs, organized a distribution exercise to support female beneficiaries engaged in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).The programme aimed at empowering women economically, promoting entrepreneurship, and reducing unemployment within the municipality.
Various work items and vocational tools were distributed to beneficiaries based on their respective trades. The items included industrial sewing machines, hair dryers, catering equipment, and other startup tools to help improve their businesses and livelihoods.
The beneficiaries comprised dressmakers, hairdressers, caterers, traders, and other women engaged in vocational and entrepreneurial activities.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) expressed sincere appreciation to the partner NGOs for their generosity and commitment to women’s empowerment and community development. The MCE encouraged beneficiaries to make good use of the items received to improve their businesses and living conditions.
The programme is expected to enhance women’s participation in economic activities, improve household incomes, and contribute to poverty reduction and local economic growth within the municipality.
