KROBO GIRLS GET NEW HOME ECONOMICS BLOCK FROM GNPC

In the early hours of Thursday, May 25th, a delegation from GNPC led by Board Chairman, Mr. Freddie Blay, officially handed over the newly completed 7-unit home economics block to the Krobo Girls Presbyterian SHS community.
The facility, which was fully funded by the GNPC Foundation, will now accommodate the school’s home economics department.
Mrs. Bernice Noel Mensah-Akutteh, the headmistress of Krobo Girls Presbyterian SHS, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to the entire GNPC fraternity for providing this modern edifice, which will go a long way to improving teaching and learning in the school.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, commended GNPC for the tremendous infrastructure support given to his municipality over the past few years he has been in office.
He used the opportunity to appeal to the Board Chairman of GNPC, Mr. Freddie Blay, to use his high office to help secure a bus for Krobo Girls Presbyterian SHS since running this great school with over 2800 students without a school bus has been a great challenge to the management and himself as the MCE for the area.
Mr. Samuel Kwesi Tettey, Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Education Director, expressed his profound gratitude to GNPC and the GNPC Foundation in his speech, as he assured them that, as the manager of all the schools in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, he will make sure this all-important project is properly maintained to serve its purpose.
He concluded by appealing to the GNPC Foundation to support the education sector in the municipality since there are some infrastructure gaps in the area and they will need their support.
