EASTERN REGIONAL COORDINATING DIRECTOR VISITED LOWER MANYA KROBO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

The newly appointed Eastern Regional Coordinating Director (RCD) Mr. Yaw Adu Asamoah, paid an official working visit to the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly on 21st October, 2024 at the Assembly’s conference hall.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize himself with the operations of the Assembly, meet staff, assess their performances and address their challenges.
The Regional Coordinating Director expressed his gratitude for the warm reception he had received. He indicated that there is the need for staff to be punctual at work and adhered to working hours. Mr. Yaw Adu Asamoah suggested that, training sessions on professionalism and regular performance appraisals should be conducted for staff to ensure that workers met the expected standards of conduct and productivity.
He also highlighted the need to align the Assembly’s efforts with National Development Goals to ensure that every department within the Assembly contributes toward achieving sustainable growth in the Municipality. He reaffirmed a commitment to promoting transparency and accountability and call for collaboration and unity.
Bringing the discussion to an end, the (RCD) called for open forums to allow staff to share their concerns. Many of the staff raised issues regarding delays in promotions and professional development opportunities. A recommendation was made to introduce stricter measures for monitoring staff attendance and time management and also disciplinary procedures should be consistently applied in cases of misconduct or negligence.
Both Regional Coordinating Director and Regional Human Resource Manager responses were well-received and the staff expressed optimism about the steps being taken to address their issues.
The visit laid a strong foundation for collaboration between the new Coordinating Director and the Municipal Assembly as they work toward achieving their shared goals of development and service improvement.
In conclusion, the Director expressed optimism for the future, stating that the Assembly is on the right path but must strive for continuous improvement. He also pledged full support to the Assembly’s leadership and staff and looked forward to working closely with everyone to achieve the Municipality’s development agenda.
