MCE take over two different 3-Unit classroom blocks at Ayemersu Kpeti and Abobeng

The Municipal Chief Executive for the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality,Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh has taken over 2 new completed 3-Unit Classroom blocks With Ancillary Facilities in the middle belt and handed it over to the communities.
A short ceremony held at Ayemersu Kpeti and Abobeng both in the middle belt of the Municipality saw the Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh taking over the Keys of the projects which were both started in 2015 by Getfund under then Schools Under Trees and Emergency intervention Program (SUTEmIP) but now completed in March 2022 after the change of contractors and practically handed over.
The Hon. MCE addressing both gathering of community leaders and other stakeholders from the education sector emphasized on the need to cooperate and peaceful coexist to develop the area despite their Political differences.
He continue to acknowledge the key roles played by the elected Member of Parliament for the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency, Hon. Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi which has brought the long term abandoned project to this completed stage as he states that the area can only develop if only they work together in the best interest of the citizens in the Municipality.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh at both ceremonies onwardly handed over the keys of the buildings to the GES director’s Representative, Mr. Victor Badu who is the planning officer at the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Education Directorate for further decisions on how the buildings will be use.
At Ayemersu Kpeti, the Hon MCE said that the community was fortunate to have received a newly contracted 6-Unit Classroom block with ancillary facilities which at as now have given the infrastructure relief that have been their burden over the pass years. He assured both gathering that the Municipal Assembly under his watch will make arrangements to supply furniture’s to the newly completed projects.
Hon. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor, MP for the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency who was accompanied by Hon. David Walter Hormenu, Constituency Chairman of the NDC and some party faithful to the short ceremony addressing both gathering appeal to the leadership and education stakeholders to maintain the facility which cost the country huge amount of money to put it in up and also put it into good use to benefit both the students and teachers.
Mr. Raymond Adu the representative from PPMC, the consulting firm in charge of both projects promised that after 6 months of this handing over of the project, his outfit will undertake full project audit to make sure the state have value for the money spent on the project.
Dade Matse Kwesi of Abobeng Community used the opportunity to appeal to the Hon. MCE and Hon. MP to use their Honourable offices to help get more teachers for Abobeng M/A Basic School since the school is totally under staff.

Ghana @65 Independence Day Parade at Larsi Park in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality

Hon Kweku Simon Tetteh participated in the 6th march Event held at larsi Park at Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly the theme for the 65th Anniversary ‘Working Together, Bouncing Back Better’ enjoins us as Ghanaians to remain united and focused on the challenges that confront the nations and with that teamwork achieve our goal through strategic movement.
He first and foremost conveyed a special anniversary greetings from His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana. He also took the opportunity to congratulate our school children from the Basic and Senior High Schools for the smart and impressive turnout this morning.
He touched on the history of Ghana from the colonial era to independence 6th March, 1957. He spoke about leaders of the United Gold Coast Convention, the first Political movement on the then Gold Coast must be honoured for initiating actions that led to freedom for our beloved country. Key amongst them were Joseph Boakye Danquah; Emmanuel Obetsebi-Lamptey; William Ofori-Atta; Ebenezer Ako-Adjei, Edward Akufo-Addo and Dr. Kwame Nkrumah often referred to as the ‘Big Six’.
He concluded by taking the opportunity to call on all Traditional Council and communities to continue to embrace peace and not to allow anything to be a source of conflict that can derail the peace and unity so badly needed.

10 PWD’s get Disability support from Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly

10 people living with disability in the Lower Krobo Municipality on Tuesday 1st March, 2022 were empowered by Hon. the Municipal Assembly.
The 10 PWDs received Big Chest Freezer each as some received bags of sachet water and Ice Chest to Start Ice Water Business and others received Boxes of frozen Fish and Meat to Start Cold Store business.
Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh in his brief address advised the beneficiaries to put the support into good use to help themselves and others depending on them.
He further entreated them Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for the area in a ceremony held at
to desist from selling the Freezers received as he pledged his maximum commitment to make sure the lives of PWDs is his Municipality get improved under his leadership as the Municipal Chief Executive.
