LOWER MANYA KROBO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY COMMISSIONED TWO SCHOOL INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS

A newly completed three unit classroom block with auxiliary facilities and ultra-modern Kindergarten (KG) block was commissioned on 17th September, 2026, at Agomanya Roman Catholic Basic School and Kpong Quarters Roman Catholic Basic School respectively. The ceremony was attended by staff of the Assembly, Member of Parliament, Municipal Education Directorate, traditional authorities, teachers, and the general public.
The Heads of the two schools, in their welcome address thanked the Regional Minister, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Municipal Director of Education, and all other stakeholders who made it possible for the construction of the facilities. They promised to take good care of it for it to last long.
The Municipal Education Director, Mr. Samuel Kwesi Tettey in his address expressed appreciation to the MCE for his commitment to improving educational infrastructure in the Municipality. He appealed for more classroom blocks to be built at other schools that are having infrastructure deficit. He charged the school authorities and teachers to ensure proper maintenance of the facilities and put into good use.
Chief of Kpong, Nene Kpabitey Nyarko II and Nene Tettey Eti, Asafoatse for Mampong-Akwenor both addressed the gathering and expressed their appreciation to the MCE and the Municipal Assembly for the development projects undertaken in their respective communities. They acknowledged the benefits of the various projects to the people and commended the efforts towards improving education and other developmental needs. The two traditional leaders encouraged the pupils to take their studies seriously, remain disciplined and make good use of the improved learning environment.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. John Atteh Matey emphasized the importance of the newly commissioned facilities in improving education delivery. He commended the President of the Republic for his efforts towards addressing infrastructure gaps in our schools across the country.
The Member of Parliament, Hon. Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi also addressed the gathering and highlighted his contribution towards the development of the school infrastructure. He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting educational development within the constituency.
The commissioning of the facilities marks an important step towards improving the teaching and learning environment in the Municipality. Stakeholders were encouraged to work together to protect and maintain the facilities for the benefit of the pupils and the wider community.
