ISS STAKEHOLDER TRAINING AT LOWER MANYA KROBO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY’S MINI CONFERENCE HALL

On May 6, 2024, the Social Welfare and Community Development department hosted an integrated Social Services Stakeholders training at the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly Mini Conference Hall. The event was coordinated by Madam Theresa Nartey and Mr. John Noko-Ayer, in collaboration with regional trainers from the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council, led by Madam Debora Daisy Kwabia and her team.
During the training, Madam Vera Alotey, the Regional Director for Community Development, delivered a presentation on Child Protection and its progress. This session aimed to enlighten stakeholders, including the Police, CHRAJ, Traditional Authorities, DOVVSU, Education, and Health sectors, on the significance of child rights and protection, and how they can contribute to promoting these principles within Lower Manya communities.
Subsequently, other key topics were addressed, including:
1. The role of partners in child/social protection systems.
2. Pathways for reporting, response, and referrals.
3. Risks faced by adolescents online.

The training received a commendation from the Municipal Chief Executive, Honorable Simon Kweku Tetteh, who pledged support to strengthen all institutions in their respective tasks. He praised the coordinators for organizing such an engaging and informative session for stakeholders.
In closing, Madam Grace Baiden expressed gratitude to all participants for their attendance and participation.
