LOWER MANYA KROBO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY COMMEMORATE 68TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY

Ghana 68th independence anniversary celebration in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality was held at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly. The Municipal Assembly opted for culture performance itself of usual March pass. The event brought together Four (4) Senior High School (SHS), a Basic School and people from all walks of life.

 

Speaking under the program Mr. Samuel Kwesi Tettey the Municipal Education Director in his welcome address thanked the people present for making time to be part of the program. He asked them to remained focus and witness the proceedings of the event.

Given the anniversary speech, the Municipal Coordinating Director Mr. Selom Tibu said, people of this Country can only achieved the reset agenda by His Excellency the President if they change their mindset, behavior and attitude towards the way they do things. He pleaded with all Ghanaians to rally behind the Twenty-Four (24) economy policy to enable the President to create jobs for the youth of this Country

Mr. Tibu further indicated that as a citizens we should buy in the vision of the President on the basis of Economic restoration and stabilization of the macroeconomic environment, improving the business environment, governance and Constitutional reforms Accountability and fight against Corruption.

Member of Parliament for the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency and deputy Minister of Interior                          Hon. Ebenezer Okletey Tei- Larbi in his term promised to use his common fund to pay school fees for tertiary students who are brilliant but needy. He allocated Two Thousand (gh₵2000.00) Ghana Cedis for the participating Schools.

The debate was between Akro Senior High / Technical Schools and Akuse Methodist Senior High School and the topic is System needs a Reset to meet the standards of the 21st Century. Akuse SHS was for the motion with Akro SHS against the motion and at the end of the contest no winner was declare because both Schools has performed well. Following the debate, was the Culture Performance from Manya Krobo Senior High School and Nuaso Anglican Primary.
