LOWER MANYA KROBO MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY STAFF DURBAR HELD ON FRIDAY 24TH JUNE, 2022 AT THE MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HALL.

On the 24th June, 2022 Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly held a staff durbar at the Municipal Assembly Hall at 10:40am. The total number of workers that attended were one hundred and twenty five (125). Out of which sixty five (65) were males and sixty (60) females.

The Municipal Coordinating Director welcomed all staff to the maiden staff durbar for 2022 and mentioned the agenda for discussion;

1.      Discuss issues on health insurance

2.      Discussion on attendance and attitude towards work  

 

3.      Open forum for staff 

The Municipal Chief Executive again welcomed staff to the durbar and thanked them for coming. He gave brief highlights on the current state of the Assembly, with regards to Administration, staffing, projects and some few challenges the Assembly was facing. He then introduced Mr. Alhassan Yahaya, Deputy Director who had recently been posted to the assembly from Akuapem North and further stated that, a total number of twenty four (24) newly recruited staff had been posted to various Departments and Units of the Assembly and was appreciative of them for accepting postings to the Municipality. He encouraged them to be of good behaviour and open to learn and adopt to the system.

 

The Hon. M.C.E. commented briefly on the performance of the assembly in the most recent DPAT exercise in which Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly performed commendably and acknowledged that, this success could not be chalked without the contribution of staff and added that, he was tremendously grateful and encouraged each and every one to carry on with the good work.  

Again, MCE made a comment on dressing to the office and mentioned that, some staff put on casual outfits to work which he said was totally unacceptable especially for the ladies and stated that, even though LGS did not have an official dress code, dressing to the office should be formal and decent.

He mentioned stealing within the premises of the Assembly and said that, in recent times, items were getting missing within the Assembly premises which had become of grave concern to Management and entreated staff to be committed in protecting state property.

In conclusion, he said he was displeased with staff attendance to programs and ceremonies like funerals, weddings etc of colleagues and appealed to all to make it a point to attend programs and ceremonies of colleagues and also programs of the Assembly and finally thanked all for their attention.

 

Another closing remark was also delivered by the Municipal Coordinating Director. He thanked staff for their attention and participation and entreated all to continue to deliver for the development of Lower Manya and Ghana as a whole. He also encouraged staff to be watchmen of properties of the assembly as we all had a duty to protect state property as public servants.
