MCE COMMENDS PROGRESS ON SALOSI CULVERT PROJECT

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Lower Manya Krobo, Hon. John Atteh Matey, has expressed great satisfaction with the steady progress of work on the ongoing Salosi Culvert project. The initiative is designed to restore the vital link road in the community, which has long suffered disruption due to the collapse of the original culvert.

The project, which is being undertaken by Millimate Construction Works, was officially handed over to the contractor by the MCE less than a month ago. Since then, visible progress has been made, with construction activities advancing steadily in line with the agreed timelines.

Speaking during a visit to the site, Hon. Matey commended the contractor for the commitment and professionalism demonstrated so far. He emphasized that the rehabilitation of the culvert is of immense importance to the municipality, as the restored road will not only improve transportation and accessibility for residents but also boost economic activity and enhance social connectivity in the area.

The MCE further expressed optimism that, judging by the pace of work, the project would be completed within the stipulated contract period. He assured the public that the Assembly would continue to monitor the works closely to ensure quality and value for money.

The Salosi Culvert project forms part of the Municipal Assembly’s broader efforts to improve road infrastructure across communities and to address key challenges that hinder mobility and development.
