On Thursday, August 24th, 2023, the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development at the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly organized a free medical screening for Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs), the elderly, and widows within the Municipality.

The beneficiaries also have their expired NHIS cards renewed, as some were newly registered on the NHIS service. Grace Ama Baiden, head of the Social Welfare and Community Development department, in a statement, reaffirmed their maximum commitment to continue doing their possible best to bring relief to the people they serve. She used the opportunity to express their heartiest appreciation to Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE for the Municipality, for greatly supporting this initiative.
